My White Christmas

This year I spent my Christmas at Big bear lake city which is at elevation of 6,752 feet. Of course with that height, there'll be mountains and snow! It's our first white Christmas!!!  I spent Christmas in LA, Las Vegas, and Miami and there's no snow at all. hahahaha.. Guess what, our cabin is just right in front of the snow mountain and we didn't even play snowboard! But it's ok, time to just relax and spent time together.
So we were at the cabin chillin, had brunch at the Big bear village, a walk at Bolder Bay Park, had our shabu2, white elephant gift exchange and taboo game war! Awesome days indeed! We were freezing while out there since it's super cold and windy but we overcame it! Here's some pictures and the rest, check it out on my facebook here.

It's beautiful amazing scenery and time together, but above all, Christmas is not just about the tree, ornaments, decorations, holiday, shopping, gift , but it's a day where we celebrate the gift of life, Jesus came to this world to save us.

"I'll Be Home for Christmas" - Rascal Flatts

Hello y'all!  Hope you r doing great post-Christmas and pre-New Year. It's couple days to go, let's fight a good fight till the end of 2011!

So we went to Big bear spend our Christmas weekend and this song was played on tv in our cabin. It's a Christmas song and I love their harmonization. I could stunned and super amazed if there is a group of acapella singers sing just right in front of me LIVE. God gives them a great talent! I wish I can say that too "I'll be home for Christmas" :[ I really wanna go home for Christmas God =)

Celebrating Christmas

Sharing from Ps. Greg Laurie:

This Christmas, don't miss the point of celebrating Christmas. Don't be like the innkeeper who missed Jesus because he was too busy (see Luke 2). Make time for the Lord. Don't be like King Herod who was too afraid to let Christ rule His life (see Matthew 2). Turn your heart over to Christ. Finally, don't run your life like the Roman Empire, who missed Christmas because other gods took the place of Christ in their lives. Allow nothing else to take the place of worshipping Jesus Christ.

Sunday morning we will unwrap our Christmas presents, but eventually the novelty of it all will wear off. The present that was once so precious to you will end up stuffed in the closet or handed off to someone else. A newer version of your latest gadget will arrive that has more megapixels, or is smaller, or faster, or has better battery life. In time, your Christmas gifts will mostly be forgotten. But God has given us the ultimate gift—the gift of His Son Jesus Christ.

Don't miss Christmas this year. As Watts and Handel once wrote, "Let ev'ry heart prepare Him room."

God's gift through Pete Eckert

Secondly, I wanna share the gift of God through this person name, Pete Eckert. He's blind but yet he is a winner of the grand prize in an International photography competition! Can you imagine that? God is good, He will never forsake us, He is Father that wanna see His children being extraordinary. If you have problems, struggles, burden, feeling not worthy, feeling not loved etc ; just come to the presence of God and He will lift your problems from you For my yoke is easy and my burden is light, says the Lord (Matthew 11:3). As I posted from yesterday, He is wonderful, our counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father and Prince of Peace., He never break His promise to those for who trust in Him.

Pete Eckert is a totally blind person.  But through his photography, he proves that he IS a visual person, he just can't see.
Pete was the Grand Prize recipient of Artists Wanted: Exposure 2008, an international photography competition, and was awarded $2,008 with a formal reception at Leo Kesting Gallery in New York City on Thursday August 7, 2008.
Artists Wanted is proud to present this truly inspiring portrait of the artist.

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

Cont...What I wanna do til Christmas is first to share the about the greatest gift we ever got for Christmas written by Ps. Greg Laurie.

Isaiah 9:6 offers a description of what God has given to us:
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (NKJV)
Each of the above names of Jesus deals with an important area of our lives. They are like five Christmas gifts that we can open, and each is special and unusual.

First, His name is Wonderful. That takes care of the dullness of life. "Wonderful" comes from the root word "wonder." The word used here could also be translated as "amazing, surprising, astonishing, or awe-inspiring."

Second, His name is Counselor. That takes care of the decisions of life. We all have very important decisions that we have to make. The God who is Wonderful wants to give us counsel and direction. God has a plan for each of our lives—an individual plan, not a one-size-fits-all plan. When you are overwhelmed with the decisions of life, remember that there is a God who wants to counsel you.

Third, He is the Mighty God. That takes care of the demands of life. We need to be reminded that Jesus was not just a good man. He was the God-man. And this God who is Wonderful, this God who wants to be your Counselor, will give you the strength to live the life He has called you to live.

Fourth, His name is Everlasting Father. That takes care of the destiny of life. We believe in an Everlasting Father with no beginning and with no end. It reminds us that life on Earth is temporal, that heaven is so much better than anything this world has to offer.

Also, this hope of an Everlasting Father resonates with those who have never had an earthly father. Because of what Jesus did for us, we can now refer to the Almighty God, Creator of the universe, as our Father who is in heaven.

Fifth, His name is the Prince of Peace. That takes care of the disturbances of life. Life is filled with disturbances and, quite frankly, Christmas can be one of the most stressful times of the year. Old problems are often brought back to the surface. Friction, stress, and problems that you are having with various family members can be at the forefront of your life at this time of year.

But here is One who is the Prince of Peace, One who will help you with the disturbances of life.

Whatever gifts you may have waiting for you this Christmas, they pale in comparison to God's gift for you. It is better than anything the Neiman Marcus catalog can offer. It is the only gift that truly keeps on giving: the gift of eternal life.

"Freedom is Here" by Esterlyn

The future comes alive
You speak your word and I
I'm running into your hope

Because I've seen your light
You bring my world to life
I'm coming after your love

Cuz I'm not shaken
I'm not not letting go

And everything comes alive
In my life as we lift You higher
Let Your freedom arise
In our lives as we lift You up
Sing it out
Freedom is here

So take the limits off
No matter what the cost
I'm running after your call
And I will run this race
See you face to face
Let your power overflow

I will not fear
I will not hide Your love, your love
All of my life
I can not deny your life

And everything comes alive
In my life as we lift You higher
Let Your freedom arise
In our lives as we lift You up
Sing it out
Freedom is here
Your freedom is here
Freedom is here
Your freedom is here

His words

“ God doesn’t want religious duty. He doesn’t want a distracted, half-hearted “Fine, I’ll read a chapter…now are You happy?” attitude. God wants His word to be a delight to us, so much so that we meditate on it day and night. ”

One macaron at a time

Bonjour! ^^
I feel like a French while eating this little cookies that everyone name it Macaron French pronunciation: [makaˈʁɔ̃]
This delightful little treat is quickly on its way to becoming the next big thing.  For the French of course they have been a big thing for a very long time. Considered by many to be the national cookie of France.

The vivid hues of macaron reflect the natural flavors and essences that infuse the ganache filling of these delicious almond cookies – each has its own personality.

Every bite of macaron is so flavorful, delicate and tasty but in the other hand it's also pricey as for our sweet indulgence. A dozen can cost like $24.00, of course they come in good beautiful packaging.  They just seem to make anything prettier, and more sophisticated don’t you think?

The best known makers of macarons in the world is located in French which is Ladurée, These small, round cakes, crisp on the outside, smooth and soft in the middle, are the most famous creation of Ladurée.
Here in Los Angeles, you can find it at some patisseries like Napoleon's Macarons , Bottega Louie , Lette Macarons.

These little macarons are indeed simply sublime.
Bon Appétit!

11/11/11

Today is 11/11/11 , for many it's a special, glorious, one-derful day. For numerologists, it’s a biggie, as the number 11 is already known as a powerful “master number” — and here’s three of  them right in a row. It's a once-in-a-century date with exceptional meaning.
Global wedding is happening on this date. In China, a popular feng shui master has proclaimed that 11/11/11 signifies "eternal love" from a the perspective of "Chinese geomancy," and as of right now it is reported that 5,000 couples tied their knot in Shanghai, more than 24,000 brides in the United States. Crazy! How many more can it be all around the world?! Even hotels are promoting "Lucky 11's Packages" priced at $11,111.00. People are using this number for lottery, celebration of metal music, babies are born on this date, others make wishes on 11/11/11 11:11, movie of 11-11-11 is premier today, some says that  it's a spiritual signal linked to 2012 Mayan prophecies of both doom and spiritual renewal, and many more...  A lot predictions, supernatural meaning and interpretations can be used to interpret the 11/11/11 phenomenon.

Wow! See how this numerology brings a big influence and make this world go crazy! Oh well, for me it's just a date coz everyday is a blessed day for me! yay! After all, only He alone that bless you not the number not any other things. No one knows when is the doom day of this earth.

Last but not least, today is also Veteran's Day! Salute and honor to all US military veterans! You've fought a good fight for you country!

PS. I wish I have photoshoot today capturing those lovey dovey couples~  Congratulations to all 11/11/11 couples!

"Do you believe I can carry a person across in this wheelbarrow?"The crowd enthusiastically shouted, "Yes, yes, yes. You are the greatest tightrope walker in the world. You can do anything!"

"Okay," said Blondin, "Get in the wheelbarrow....."

A question of faith to all Christ followers. Do you believe? How do you put your trust on Jesus?

How water bottles create cheap lighting in Philippines

A simple initiative in the Philippines is bringing a bit of brightness into the lives of the country's poorest people.

The project is called "Litre of Light", and the technology involved is just a plastic bottle filled with water.

It's an environmentally-friendly alternative to an electric light bulb, and it's virtually free.

A saved and clean water bring brightness~

Satellite images of Earth show roads, air traffic, cities at night and internet cables

Human technology presence over North America superimposed over satellite images of cities illuminated at night

Satellite images of Earth show roads, air traffic, cities at night and internet cables . Felix Pharand-Deschenes has created global snapshots depicting how power lines, roads and even air traffic corridors have come to dominate the surface of Earth. His visualisations based on real data show air traffic routes, the underwater cables that carry the internet, road and rail networks and electricity transmission lines all superimposed over cities at night. "We see everything from paved and unpaved roads, light pollution, railways, electricity transmission lines. All the way to submarine cables, pipelines, shipping lanes and air traffic. The show the extent of our civilisation, the patterns of our global sprawl, how human-influenced our planet now is." Felix.

Light of the world

You are like light for the whole world. No one would light a lamp and put it under a clay pot. A lamp is placed where it can give light to everyone in the house. Make your light shine, so that others will see the good u do and will praise your Father in Heaven.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Aloha! It's me again posting some pictures from my weekend :)
First, I've been posting wedding or engagement pictures and I'll put some short stories, quotes or taglines with it. And I found myself get into a romantic feeling when I started to write it and believe or not I can imagine myself on their shoes and writing my own love story..hahahaha... It helps the lovey dovey words to come out from my mind easily... Pardon my cheesiness +.+

So, we went to Universal Studios Hollywood last Saturday. It was fun but can't compare this to Orlando Universal Studios. It's only small park with 10 shows and rides, Orlando got more! Poisedon, spiderman, etc... The new King Kong 3D thumbs up!
I love to see the movie set because here in Hollywood, there's where the movie were taken actually. Here's some pictures of the movie set after photoshop! hahha...To bring the feel of the set!

This one is made on coroplast. cool huh?! but of course the color is enhanced since the color was so light.

And the highlight of my day is capturing this picture... Sadly, I didn't bring my SLR camera so I took all these pictures with my pocket camera. "Zorro" and "Elena" was dancing Spanish tango which referred to as Malaguena, variety of tango , flamenco, fandago, etc.. love the feel, love the movement, just L.O.V.E IT !

God's Masterpiece

When God chisels the dead weight out of our lives it can be very painful. In this video skit, Tommy and Eddie from The Skit Guys give a very creative look at a typical believer having to go through the process of discipline.

Feelings

Feelings...

When you're feeling good, you can't imagine life being any better. But when you're feeling bad, it's like the world is caving in on you.

Feelings are like waves - they come out of nowhere, crash into us and leave us scrambling until the next one comes rolling in.

Are you in control of your feelings or are your feelings in control of you?

One thing for sure, you are more than what you feel. Your feelings don't define who you are...

Just because you feel a certain way doesn't mean you have to bow down to those feelings. It's impossible to enjoy life the way God wants you to when you're prisoner of your feelings. God gave us feelings not to get rid of it and live like a robot. Instead, God wants us to enjoy them and find freedom to manage them instead of them managing and leading you.

That's why we need to anchor ourselves to Words of God because it allows us to know and trust God more than we trust our feelings.

Can miles separate you from your love one?

Can miles truly separate you from your love one? Might be...but not with this couple with one of them lives in Los Angeles and the other in San Diego. Commuting 2-3 hours is not something uncommon for them, visiting each others on the weekend. One could give more when they are given, God loves them first and the love grows within them to love others.

A fun photoshoot day with this couple. Monica and Shawn always look so happy and passionate to each others so it's so easy to capture lovely moment from them. Check out their few sneakpeeks here and the rest, you can find it on my facebook page Eliteonearth Photography

Courageous by Casting Crowns

Courageous
By Casting Crowns

We were made to be courageous
We were made to lead the way
We could be the generation
That finally breaks the chains
We were made to be courageous
We were made to be courageous

We were warriors on the front lines
Standing, unafraid
But now we're watchers on the sidelines
While our families slip away

Where are you, men of courage?
You were made for so much more
Let the pounding of our hearts cry
We will serve the Lord

We were made to be courageous
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we'll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

This is our resolution
Our answer to the call
We will love our wives and children
We refuse to let them fall

We will reignite the passion
That we buried deep inside
May the watchers become warriors
Let the men of God arise

We were made to be courageous
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we'll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

Seek justice
Love mercy
Walk humbly with your God

In the war of the mind
I will make my stand
In the battle of the heart
And the battle of the hand

We were made to be courageous
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we'll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

We were made to be courageous
Lord, make us courageous

Crushcake Cupcakery

I love something sweet especially chocolate! My friend brought me cupcakes from Santa Barbara from their labor day weekend gateway.. Woot! Woot! There's this cupcakery at Santa Barbara that have a good review on yelp name Cruschcakes .

I have never been to the cafe itself, but from the review saying that the cafe has a great atmosphere and cute décor, would love to check out the place next time I visit Santa Barbara.
Inside the cute boxes, there are 4 different cupcakes' flavors which is their signature cupcake "Crushcake" - A red velvet topped with chocolate heart dipped into sour cream frosting ;
"Lemon Drop" - Luscious lemon cake with sweet lemon frosting and fresh lemon zest ;
"Strawberry Blush" - Fresh strawberry cake topped with rosy pink strawberry frosting ;
and the last one is "Cool Vanilla Bean" - The name itself is already cool! hahha.. It's simply vanilla cake topped with vanilla bean frosting.

(one cupcake is missing from this picture, u know where is it *blushing*)

There is a saying "You can't look at a cupcake without smiling", well I guess for me is true. Even I haven't put this small little thing into my mouth, I'm already smile widely because of the color, cuteness and I know it gonna be sweet on every bites.

When it comes to regular meal,I'm pretty simple. Give me something sugary, salty, crunchy or soft - and I'm satisfied. But when it comes to dessert, I'll very picky since I don't like it too sweet or else it'll ruin the original flavor of the food itself. Just give me chocolate, white or dark with no filling inside, I'll be sitting happily. LOL!

A little history lesson about cupcakes:

A cupcake (British English: fairy cake; Australian English: patty cake or cup cake) is a small cake designed to serve one person, frequently baked in a small, thin paper or aluminum cup. As with larger cakes, frosting and other cake decorations, such as sprinkles, are common on cupcakes. Although their origin is unknown, recipes for cupcakes have been printed since at least the late 18th century. ( Source: Wikipedia )

Sweet food or desserts especially chocolate contain phenylethylamine which is the same chemical that our brain produces when we fall in love.

So chocolate cupcakes = ♥ ♥ Love ♥ ♥

Love is sweet... Sweet like a cupcake...

Project 7

Yesterday, I was shopping furniture at Walmart. After a long stroll all the aisles, it's time to check out at the cashier. While I was lining up, there's this interesting font on a gum box caught into my sight. So I looked at it, it's "Gum that gives back" meaning if you buy the gum, you are helping to feed the hungry and many more.

I don't know why but I'm excited to promote this non-profit organization called Project 7 .
Project 7 has their own products that provide funding to seven areas of need across the globe. Their mission is simply heal the sick, save the earth, house the homeless, feed the hungry, quench the thirsty, teach them well, and hope for peace. Project 7 partner with nonprofits to help provide financial support, as well as raise awareness for each organization and educate about global issues.

So far, this is their report of the helping hands that helped change the world!
Check out their video

Follow their twitter @Project7 and facebook page here . WHY?? because with ur 1 simple click u have help feed the hungry....
You can help by buying their products at their online store. Nothing to lose and you help to change the score!

Beautiful Things by Gungor Band

"Beautiful Things" Lyrics
by Gungor | from the album Beautiful Things

All this pain
I wonder if I’ll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change at all
All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found
Could a garden come up from this ground at all

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us

All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found in You

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us

You make me new, You are making me new
You make me new, You are making me new
You are making me new

San Francisco

Hello Hello Hello~
It's summer time! But why it's so cold here in San Francisco! hahahha...But I love the weather, better cold than hot.
We drove straight 6 hours from LA to SF, well I didn't drive coz I was so sleepy somehow on that day, so I took a quick nap in the car... and violaa we arrived at our friend's apartment in Emeryville. 6 girls in a house! rock it baby!

Sooo.... After well-planned itinerary (short of), we drove from Emeryville to San Francisco thru Bay Bridge... cooll...Oh by the way, I was assigned to drive while in town. I forgot that the street in Downtown SF is like a roller coaster! Dangg! I hv to prepare my heart everytime I drove down the street....scaryyyyyyyy~ Well it's a great experience and my driving skill isn't bad after all..hahaha... The street is fully packed with car, confusing directions, taxi and bus stop wherever they wanted to, people just cross the street whenever they wanted to...oh mannn.. Driving in SF is a big no no no...

Long story short, we visited union square, chinatown, little Italy, Clock tower @pier2 , Fisherman's Wharf, Twin peak, Sausalito, Golden Gate Bridge ( which is so foggy n couldn't take picture at all ) and the Palace of fine arts...
SF's buildings and houses are just so unique! There's a lot of small spacious "parks" where u can just sleep enjoying the breeze or eat ur food...ahhh.....

:: Union Square ::
:: Vaillancourt Fountain ::
:: Boudin Bakery :: :: Rocketship ::
:: Raygun Gothic Rocketship ::

:: The Palace of Fine Arts ::
And the restaurants in SF are so good too!
Here's the restaurant that we went for our brunch and dinner, u guys should give it a try if u plan to go to San Francisco

Brunch at:
Mocca :: The tri-tip sandwiches' so good!
Brown Sugar Kitchen

Dinner at:
House of Nanking :: Chinese Fusion!
