Palm Springs

Holla!!! I tink I'm too spoiled..HAHAHA... Every weekend I hv places to visit ^^ Well, one of my friend is going for good so we accompany him to visit places that he wanted to go before going back to Indonesia.
So here we are in Palm Springs. A city full of wind turbines, mountains, and desserts. It's 70F over there and 120 miles away from LA.
Palm Springs is popular for its natural beauty so we decided to take a tram up to the top of the mountain and visit the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. We went to Palm Spring Aerial Tramway which is said to be the largest rotating aerial tram in the world. We hoped to train at 2,643 FT from sea level station to the highest 8,516 FT station!!! We were able to see all the mountains and desserts from the tram. It's so beautiful and the funny thing was the tram sway every station, and all of the passengers were so excited and scream. Just like riding a roller coaster...

:: Here comes our tram , current at 3,300 FT ::

:: 4,500 FT ::
:: Another tram at 5,500 FT ::
:: City of Palm Springs at 7,000 FT ::
:: View from the last station at 8,516 FT ::

Up there, from dessert , we saw snow. a 1FT of snow and it's only 50F. We went inside and have a view of Palm Springs and then we walked down to the State Park. We were taking pictures every 2-5 minutes. hahahaaha.... Beautiful pine trees, rocks, and snow... Others were having fun sleighing and playing with the snow... aaaahhh...what a nice view, everything is white... Winter Wonderland~ We went for a walk instead of snow hiking since we were not well equipped, but it was fun, enjoying the breath-taking scenery and air....

There are also some sort of museums where they show what kind of wildlife out there.

Last but not least, the night scene of Palm Springs

Coronado Island

Guess where I went last Saturday...Yeah, I know...Another San Diego trip! Hahaha...Fortunately, I'm not sick of San Diego yet since we visited different places everytime I went there. We had our brunch at Hash House Ago Go. Waited for 1.5 hours before we got seated inside with our super empty tummy. Somehow, everytime when I crave for a food and by the time I get to eat the food, it'll just tasteless. Same with the brunch, I've been craving for American style brunch and the taste was just so so. Oh well, maybe it's just my tongue~

After a blast meal, we decided to have a walk at Coronado Island. It's a major and most expensive to reside in the State. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronado,_California .

:: Coronado Bridge ::
:: Glorietta Bay ::
:: Coronado Island Park ::
:: Trolley ::

A long walk along the famous Hotel Del Coronado, we saw the bike rental, so we rented out 2 surreys. It was freaking fun! Imagine 5 guys in the surreys...lol...They were so hilarious! We biked but couldn't find the correct bike lane, so we ended up biked at the sidewalk and the street. Super exhausted from pedaling :(

Enjoying the beach environment there. It's so sunny! I think it's like 78F? People are surfing, swimming, and feel like summer over there...

Since we were still full from the brunch, we went to the gaslamp district for a night walk before the dinner. And guess what we got for dinner? Taco El Gordos. I'm getting bored with the taco.hahahahaa.... It tastes good but maybe I just it for more than 3 times which make me used to it already. And last but not least, dessert time! Fill our mouth with boba. yay! I like this boba place "Tea N More". I think that's the best boba place in San Diego. Their boba is just different.
You have to give it a try if you are in San Diego. It's "Tea N More" not "Tea Station" peeps! http://www.yelp.com/biz/tea-n-more-san-diego

The next day, I felt terrible! My body felt very warm, the feeling of fainting is there... Thanks God, He got me thru d Sunday!

My New Year

It's January 12th, 2011 and I just got the chance to upload some new years' eve pictures...hohoho...
We went to Long beach for the countdown. We walked down the canal at Naples Canal, it is at N Ravenna Dr/ E Naples Ln. The houses are fully decorated with lights. Very pretty~ I thing they are having their own house light decorating competition there. LOL.. But u won't find such house in downtown LA, so I really love the sightseeing moment.

After a short walk enjoying the decorations, we went for our late dinner at Bubba gump. Fully loaded with seafood, and get ready to face the windy long beach. People were standing by the port waiting for the fireworks from Queen Mary. It's kinda far but anyway it's fireworks, everything was fired to the sky so we can see it no matter where. XD

New year, new resolution~ I haven't made my resolutions tho. I think I should make one. Usually new year resolution starts with "Losing weight", but what we did on the 1st day of NY? Eat, eat and eat! Dimsum, crepes, thai food, ice cream...viola~ fuly and happy! What a great day to start the year 2011!! YAY!! Thank God for His blessings and grace!

2 Wolves

An old man told his son about a battle that goes on inside people. He said: "Son, there is a battle between 2 wolves inside us all. One is Evil - it is Anger, Envy, Jealousy, Sorrow, Regret, Greed, Guilt, Lies and Ego. The other one is Good - it is Joy, Peace, Love, Serenity, Humanity, Kindness, Faith, Compassion, Truth and Hope." The Son asked his Father: "Which wolf wins?" The Old man replied: "The one you feed."
