Happy Halloween!

This year Halloween is totally different since we dress up as scary as possible by doing face painting. My talented friend did to mine and himself. Himself?! Yeah! He did it by himself...so cool! He also painted to anthr friend that's not in this picture. He did paint the whole body very detail! Thumbs up to you Chie!
Here's the small thumbnail size picture, for bigger and more pictures, check out on facebook page eliteonearth photography

How water bottles create cheap lighting in Philippines

A simple initiative in the Philippines is bringing a bit of brightness into the lives of the country's poorest people.

The project is called "Litre of Light", and the technology involved is just a plastic bottle filled with water.

It's an environmentally-friendly alternative to an electric light bulb, and it's virtually free.

A saved and clean water bring brightness~

Satellite images of Earth show roads, air traffic, cities at night and internet cables

Human technology presence over North America superimposed over satellite images of cities illuminated at night

Satellite images of Earth show roads, air traffic, cities at night and internet cables . Felix Pharand-Deschenes has created global snapshots depicting how power lines, roads and even air traffic corridors have come to dominate the surface of Earth. His visualisations based on real data show air traffic routes, the underwater cables that carry the internet, road and rail networks and electricity transmission lines all superimposed over cities at night. "We see everything from paved and unpaved roads, light pollution, railways, electricity transmission lines. All the way to submarine cables, pipelines, shipping lanes and air traffic. The show the extent of our civilisation, the patterns of our global sprawl, how human-influenced our planet now is." Felix.
