My White Christmas

This year I spent my Christmas at Big bear lake city which is at elevation of 6,752 feet. Of course with that height, there'll be mountains and snow! It's our first white Christmas!!!  I spent Christmas in LA, Las Vegas, and Miami and there's no snow at all. hahahaha.. Guess what, our cabin is just right in front of the snow mountain and we didn't even play snowboard! But it's ok, time to just relax and spent time together.
So we were at the cabin chillin, had brunch at the Big bear village, a walk at Bolder Bay Park, had our shabu2, white elephant gift exchange and taboo game war! Awesome days indeed! We were freezing while out there since it's super cold and windy but we overcame it! Here's some pictures and the rest, check it out on my facebook here.

It's beautiful amazing scenery and time together, but above all, Christmas is not just about the tree, ornaments, decorations, holiday, shopping, gift , but it's a day where we celebrate the gift of life, Jesus came to this world to save us.

"I'll Be Home for Christmas" - Rascal Flatts

Hello y'all!  Hope you r doing great post-Christmas and pre-New Year. It's couple days to go, let's fight a good fight till the end of 2011!

So we went to Big bear spend our Christmas weekend and this song was played on tv in our cabin. It's a Christmas song and I love their harmonization. I could stunned and super amazed if there is a group of acapella singers sing just right in front of me LIVE. God gives them a great talent! I wish I can say that too "I'll be home for Christmas" :[ I really wanna go home for Christmas God =)

Celebrating Christmas

Sharing from Ps. Greg Laurie:

This Christmas, don't miss the point of celebrating Christmas. Don't be like the innkeeper who missed Jesus because he was too busy (see Luke 2). Make time for the Lord. Don't be like King Herod who was too afraid to let Christ rule His life (see Matthew 2). Turn your heart over to Christ. Finally, don't run your life like the Roman Empire, who missed Christmas because other gods took the place of Christ in their lives. Allow nothing else to take the place of worshipping Jesus Christ.

Sunday morning we will unwrap our Christmas presents, but eventually the novelty of it all will wear off. The present that was once so precious to you will end up stuffed in the closet or handed off to someone else. A newer version of your latest gadget will arrive that has more megapixels, or is smaller, or faster, or has better battery life. In time, your Christmas gifts will mostly be forgotten. But God has given us the ultimate gift—the gift of His Son Jesus Christ.

Don't miss Christmas this year. As Watts and Handel once wrote, "Let ev'ry heart prepare Him room."

Unto us is born

Fragile finger sent to heal us
Tender brow prepared for thorn
Tiny heart whose blood will save us
Unto us is born
Perfect Son of God

God's gift through Pete Eckert

Secondly, I wanna share the gift of God through this person name, Pete Eckert. He's blind but yet he is a winner of the grand prize in an International photography competition! Can you imagine that? God is good, He will never forsake us, He is Father that wanna see His children being extraordinary. If you have problems, struggles, burden, feeling not worthy, feeling not loved etc ; just come to the presence of God and He will lift your problems from you For my yoke is easy and my burden is light, says the Lord (Matthew 11:3). As I posted from yesterday, He is wonderful, our counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father and Prince of Peace., He never break His promise to those for who trust in Him.

Pete Eckert is a totally blind person.  But through his photography, he proves that he IS a visual person, he just can't see.
Pete was the Grand Prize recipient of Artists Wanted: Exposure 2008, an international photography competition, and was awarded $2,008 with a formal reception at Leo Kesting Gallery in New York City on Thursday August 7, 2008.
Artists Wanted is proud to present this truly inspiring portrait of the artist.

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

Cont...What I wanna do til Christmas is first to share the about the greatest gift we ever got for Christmas written by Ps. Greg Laurie.

Isaiah 9:6 offers a description of what God has given to us:
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (NKJV)
Each of the above names of Jesus deals with an important area of our lives. They are like five Christmas gifts that we can open, and each is special and unusual.

First, His name is Wonderful. That takes care of the dullness of life. "Wonderful" comes from the root word "wonder." The word used here could also be translated as "amazing, surprising, astonishing, or awe-inspiring."

Second, His name is Counselor. That takes care of the decisions of life. We all have very important decisions that we have to make. The God who is Wonderful wants to give us counsel and direction. God has a plan for each of our lives—an individual plan, not a one-size-fits-all plan. When you are overwhelmed with the decisions of life, remember that there is a God who wants to counsel you.

Third, He is the Mighty God. That takes care of the demands of life. We need to be reminded that Jesus was not just a good man. He was the God-man. And this God who is Wonderful, this God who wants to be your Counselor, will give you the strength to live the life He has called you to live.

Fourth, His name is Everlasting Father. That takes care of the destiny of life. We believe in an Everlasting Father with no beginning and with no end. It reminds us that life on Earth is temporal, that heaven is so much better than anything this world has to offer.

Also, this hope of an Everlasting Father resonates with those who have never had an earthly father. Because of what Jesus did for us, we can now refer to the Almighty God, Creator of the universe, as our Father who is in heaven.

Fifth, His name is the Prince of Peace. That takes care of the disturbances of life. Life is filled with disturbances and, quite frankly, Christmas can be one of the most stressful times of the year. Old problems are often brought back to the surface. Friction, stress, and problems that you are having with various family members can be at the forefront of your life at this time of year.

But here is One who is the Prince of Peace, One who will help you with the disturbances of life.

Whatever gifts you may have waiting for you this Christmas, they pale in comparison to God's gift for you. It is better than anything the Neiman Marcus catalog can offer. It is the only gift that truly keeps on giving: the gift of eternal life.
