Awesome July 4th 2012

Peeps, let me introduce u to my caregroup!!!!
We had blast in celebration of July 4th, 2012! We had shabu-shabu for pre-July4th celebration, played some games and laughter is everywhere. Continuing on the day itself with dimsum for our brunch and had a walk at Old Pasadena. We thought we should have just gone home after the walk since everyone was tired, but we ended up hanging out at our friend's house and guess what there's fireworks show just right in front of the house!!! Mannn...couldn't ask for better spot than this! The fireworks were awesome! Haven't seen one since mmmm...long time ago I would say..haahahaha...And afterwards, we have our own fireworks show with our little firecrackers. It's hilarious, everyone is scared with it while I was the super excited person to play with it! AWEZOME!!
And well we have work for our post-July4th celebration! =(  but oh well weekend is here in 2 days so yay!!!

Solvang - You make me smile

A lovely sunny day at Solvang, a little Danish city in Santa Barbara County.

The city is home to a number of bakeries, restaurants, and merchants offering a taste of Denmark in California. The architecture of many of the facades and buildings reflects traditional Danish style. As we strolled the stores and small parks, it urged me to take some candid pictures and check out what I got =)
It just fit the song
You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed
Sing like bird, dizzy in my head
Spin like a record, crazy on a Sunday night~

iheart Seattle

Wohoo!!! My first time in Seattle! Somehow I already love Seattle before even I place my first step on Seattle. And indeed I love Seattle so much. The gloomy weather, the relax feeling, the pretty city, the very green environment, nice architectural building, yummy food, awesome view of nature! I went for 3 days with intense food testing =) , visited the tulip farm that I already love to see it from a year ago and also visited the visitors' site... Overall, I'll give Seattle an A+ for vacation destination!!

Happy Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year!

A new year for all of Chinese in the whole world. Red or new clothing, red envelope, family dinner reunion, lion dance , dragon show pouring here and there. It's the day where all family members gather together celebrate and spend joyous moment with each other. I miss spent Chinese New Year with my family. We used to visit my grandparents' house and then we teenagers and kids will be flooded by hong bao (red envelope). Sweets and cookies are being offered to all the guests that are visiting. Whoa...I miss those moment and the gathering. This year I spent my new year with my family in Christ! =)
We had Chinese New Year's Eve at Fu Shing, all night long laughter were echoing in the restaurant and we were the last guests to leave the place.hahahaha.. On the New year itself is Monday and there's no holiday in America so everything goes back to normal.

(Sorry for the kinda blurry picture, blame it to the waiter! :p just kidding. Thanks Mr. Waiter)

Well, wanna wish all of you who celebrate Chinese New Year :

新年快樂

恭喜发财

新年进步

万事如意

年年有餘

Year of Dragon in Chinese mythology, for me it's Year of Acceleration and Increase!

Freedom and Fashion

I went to a fashion show, well it's last December's event but I just posted here in my personal blog. It's an event which is different from any other fashion show event.
Freedom and Fashion is a fashion-orientated, creative arts organization dedicated to educating society about the global social issues of modern-day slavery, human trafficking, child labor, and human rights violations. They address these injustices through the purchasing power of conscious consumerism, by increasing the demand for socially responsible and ethically-produced goods and ensuring they are readily available to consumers.
A lot of designers and community partner took part in this event and it's extremely a big hit of event to fight sex trafficking.

My White Christmas

This year I spent my Christmas at Big bear lake city which is at elevation of 6,752 feet. Of course with that height, there'll be mountains and snow! It's our first white Christmas!!!  I spent Christmas in LA, Las Vegas, and Miami and there's no snow at all. hahahaha.. Guess what, our cabin is just right in front of the snow mountain and we didn't even play snowboard! But it's ok, time to just relax and spent time together.
So we were at the cabin chillin, had brunch at the Big bear village, a walk at Bolder Bay Park, had our shabu2, white elephant gift exchange and taboo game war! Awesome days indeed! We were freezing while out there since it's super cold and windy but we overcame it! Here's some pictures and the rest, check it out on my facebook here.

It's beautiful amazing scenery and time together, but above all, Christmas is not just about the tree, ornaments, decorations, holiday, shopping, gift , but it's a day where we celebrate the gift of life, Jesus came to this world to save us.

Unto us is born

Fragile finger sent to heal us
Tender brow prepared for thorn
Tiny heart whose blood will save us
Unto us is born
Perfect Son of God

One macaron at a time

Bonjour! ^^
I feel like a French while eating this little cookies that everyone name it Macaron French pronunciation: [makaˈʁɔ̃]
This delightful little treat is quickly on its way to becoming the next big thing.  For the French of course they have been a big thing for a very long time. Considered by many to be the national cookie of France.

The vivid hues of macaron reflect the natural flavors and essences that infuse the ganache filling of these delicious almond cookies – each has its own personality.

Every bite of macaron is so flavorful, delicate and tasty but in the other hand it's also pricey as for our sweet indulgence. A dozen can cost like $24.00, of course they come in good beautiful packaging.  They just seem to make anything prettier, and more sophisticated don’t you think?

The best known makers of macarons in the world is located in French which is Ladurée, These small, round cakes, crisp on the outside, smooth and soft in the middle, are the most famous creation of Ladurée.
Here in Los Angeles, you can find it at some patisseries like Napoleon's Macarons , Bottega Louie , Lette Macarons.

These little macarons are indeed simply sublime.
Bon Appétit!
